In 2022-23, Giovanni came to study at the IUT's Mechanical and Production Engineering department.

"Among the many possible choices offered to us by the University of Palermo as Erasmus+ scholarship winners, Dijon stood out as a city that is part of an extremely interesting region and country, just waiting to be discovered. The main reasons why I personally chose this destination :

• Knowledge of the French language : I was very interested in learning one of the most widely spoken languages in the world. I think it's extremely useful in everyday life, both in a professional context and in everyday life.
• International and university town : its strategic location, between Paris and Lyon, makes it the most important university in Burgundy, with a very large number of international students. I really savored the beauty of confrontation, dialogue and getting to know new cultures, starting with French culture.
• Discovery of a new academic method : I had the opportunity to attend classes entirely in French, and I found a different standard of teaching and assessment to Italian. I found it more practical and engaging, with a more personal relationship with the teacher."
