Workshop on ComplexHealth AI

Welcome to Bordeaux for FRCCS 2025

ComplexHealth AI: Navigating the Intersection of Complex Systems and Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare

We invite submissions to the Workshop on Complex Systems and Language Models, to be held from May 21–23, 2025, in Bordeaux, France. This workshop aims to bring together researchers from diverse fields to explore the intersection of complexity science and artificial intelligence in Healthcare.
The workshop will examine how large language models and modern AI architectures exhibit properties of complex systems, including emergent behaviors, multiple scales of interaction, and network dynamics that cannot be predicted from their components.
We seek to understand AI systems through both computational approaches and complex systems science, recognizing that today’s AI increasingly demonstrates complex, emergent phenomena that require new theoretical frameworks.
Particular attention will be given to applications in healthcare and emergency response systems, where the ability to model complex interactions and emergent behaviors can lead to significant societal benefits and improved decision-making in critical situations.
The workshop welcomes contributions exploring theoretical frameworks and practical methodologies for analyzing, interpreting, and designing AI systems as complex systems. We encourage interdisciplinary approaches that combine insights from NLP, machine learning, complex systems science, and computer science.
This workshop will provide a platform for researchers to share insights, methodologies, and applications at this crucial intersection of fields.

Submission Guidelines

Submissions should be formatted according to the provided requirements found here: https://iutdijon.u-bourgogne.fr/ccs-france/submissions/

Paper Acceptance and Proceedings Inclusion

All accepted papers will be presented at the workshop. However, their inclusion in the official conference proceedings is contingent upon a final quality assessment conducted by the conference organizers.
• Long Papers (12 pages) and Short Papers (8 pages):
These papers may be included in the proceedings, provided they pass the final quality check. If a paper does not meet the publication standards, it will still be accepted for presentation at the workshop but will not be included in the proceedings. In such cases, authors may opt to submit an extended abstract for inclusion in the Book of Abstracts.
• Extended Abstracts:
Extended abstracts will not undergo review for proceedings inclusion but will be automatically published in the Book of Abstracts.

Authors will receive separate notifications regarding the final status of their paper in the proceedings. For any inquiries, please contact the workshop organizers.
