Call for Papers
Blockchain technology is renowned for its decentralized ledger system, which ensures secure, transparent, and tamper-proof transactions across distributed networks. It allows information to be shared and verified by a network of participants without a central authority to manage or validate the data. Once added to the Blockchain, records are stored in a cryptographically secured, immutable, and chronological sequence, rendering any alteration virtually impossible. This structure significantly enhances security, improving trust among participants. The Complex Network perspective can be applied to real-world systems (i.e., social networks, criminal networks, biological networks, power grids, air transports, and inter-bank communications) by structuring them in nodes and edges. The synergy between Blockchain and Complex Network theory enhances the reliability and authenticity of connections across decentralized networks, ensuring data exchanges are secure, tamper-resistant, and verifiable. This emphasis on trusted connectivity will provide a stronger foundation for secure distributed systems that encourage greater trust in decentralized applications and networks. By exploring the structural features of Blockchain networks through the lens of Complex Network theory, this Workshop investigates potential vulnerabilities, enhancing the design of more secure consensus mechanisms, and integrating graph concepts to improve efficiency, scalability, and transaction processing speed and throughput.

The Workshop contributions will be included in the conference proceeding (with ISBN).
Papers authors will have the faculty opt-in or opt-out.
