Welcome to La Rochelle for ISCS 2026

France is part of the Schengen Area. Depending on your nationality, you may require a short-stay Schengen visa (Type C) to attend the conference.

We strongly encourage all participants to check visa requirements and initiate the process as early as possible.

Visa Application – General Guidelines

If a visa is required, applicants will typically need to:
   –  Complete an online application
   –  Schedule an appointment at a French consulate or visa center
   –  Provide supporting documents, including:
           > A valid passport
           > Proof of accommodation
           > Travel itinerary
           > Proof of financial means
           > An invitation letter from the conference

Processing times may vary depending on your country of residence.

Invitation Letters

ISCS 2026 provides official invitation letters for visa application purposes.
To request an invitation letter, please complete the following form:

• Conference Participation

Invitation letters are typically issued within 3 working days.

Important Conditions

• The information provided must exactly match your passport
• Invitation letters are issued for visa purposes only
• The conference does not provide financial support, accommodation, or guarantees
• The organizing committee reserves the right to decline incomplete or inconsistent requests

Important Notice

Requesting an invitation letter does not constitute registration for ISCS 2026.
All participants must complete their conference registration separately to attend the event.

Data Collected
The following personal data is collected through the invitation letter request form: full name, nationality, passport details, institutional affiliation, and conference participation information.

Purpose and Legal Basis
Data is processed solely for the purpose of issuing official invitation letters for visa application purposes, in the context of the ISCS 2026 conference. The legal basis is the legitimate interest of Complex Systems Society France in organizing the event and fulfilling related administrative requirements.

Data Recipients
Data is accessible exclusively to the members of the organizing committee responsible for processing invitation letter requests. It is not shared with any third party.

Third-Party Processor
The request form is hosted on Google Forms. Google acts as a data processor on behalf of Complex Systems Society France under Google’s Data Processing Agreement. Data may be stored on servers located within the European Economic Area or in countries offering an adequate level of protection.

Retention Period
Personal data will be retained for a maximum of two (2) months following the end of the conference, after which it will be permanently deleted.

Your Rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
– Access, rectify, or erase your personal data
– Restrict or object to its processing
– Request data portability
