Scope and Objectives
What drives the success of businesses, industries, and economies remains a crucial question in today’s rapidly changing and uncertain world. Traditional social and economic theories often fall short in explaining these dynamics or rely on ad hoc assumptions.
Recent advances in computational social science and complexity science have revealed universal patterns of success across diverse domains such as science, business, and social media. This workshop aims to synthesise the latest research in success drivers across social and economic settings, presenting recent developments and fostering a discussion on how insights from complexity science and data science—including generative AI—can contribute to a unified framework for understanding success.
The workshop will explore how these insights can be leveraged to create actionable strategies
for businesses, policymakers, and industry leaders.
