Young Researcher Award<\/h2>

The Young Researcher Award is part of CSS FRANCE<\/a>\u2019s global initiative to support early career researchers in their quest to advance the frontiers of science across a broad range of disciplines. It is in place to recognize early career contributions and leadership in research in Complex Systems related fields. It is awarded to young researchers up to five years after the Ph.D. completion (date of Ph.D. defense) and the deadline of the call for nomination.<\/p>

Submission Deadline<\/span>: April 19, 2023, anywhere on Earth<\/p>

The prize<\/h3>

A prize of EUR 1000 is awarded to the Young Researcher Award Winner.<\/p><\/div>

Eligibility<\/h2>

\u2022\tApplications for this award are welcomed by academia, business, and government scientists.
\n\u2022\tEligible candidates should not be older than 35 years.
\n\u2022\tThere should be no more than five years between the date of the Ph.D. defense and the deadline of the call for nomination.
\n\u2022\tSelf-nominations are accepted and encouraged.
\n\u2022\tAny young researcher can be nominated in whatever discipline Complex Systems covers.
\n\u2022\tCandidates must commit to presenting their work at FRCCS if awarded.<\/p>

Application Instruction<\/h2>

For self-nomination<\/span>
\nThe application package must contain:
\n\u2022\tA CV of the candidate (maximum two pages)
\n\u2022\tResearch achievement: a letter describing the context and relevance of the achievement, its scientific impact, and why it deserves an award (maximum two pages).
\n\u2022\tA long-term research project (maximum two pages)\n

\nFor supporter nomination<\/span>
\n\u2022\tA CV of the candidate (maximum two pages)
\n\u2022\tResearch achievement: a letter describing the context and relevance of the achievement, its scientific impact, and why it deserves an award (maximum two pages).
\n\u2022\tA statement from the candidate (maximum two pages) reflects their understanding of how the original scientific research moved science forward.<\/p>

Application Process<\/h2>

Applications are made via a google form:
\nFill out the self-nomination<\/a> form or the Supporter nomination form<\/a>
\nNote that Google Forms requires you to be signed in to a Google account to upload files and submit your responses.<\/span><\/p>

Selection Process<\/h2>

FRCCS Award Committee will evaluate all qualified candidates and propose the winner to the Advisory Board of CSS FRANCE, which will make the final decision.<\/p>

Award Procedure<\/h1>

All applicants or the nominators will be informed about the outcome in early May. The award will be recognized and presented at the upcoming FRCCS Annual Meeting. The award will also cover one FRCCS registration to facilitate attendance at the meeting to receive their award and contribution towards travel costs.<\/p><\/div> <\/div>
