I work in statistical mechanics and network theory and I enjoy combining statistical mechanics with graph theory, topology, and other mathematical subjects to study the network complexity.
The field has a rich interdisciplinary character since complex networks describe the interactions of a large variety of complex systems, from the Internet to the brain, the climate and social networks.
My main focus in on the theory of networks, but am also very interested in applications ranging from biological networksto social networks.
In am expert in network modelling and for this I use both equilibrium and non-equilibrium statistical mechanics approaches. Currently my research focuses on generalized network structures including multilayer and higher-order networks (simplicial complexes).
